General George S. Brown UFOs over Vietnam

In 1968, when I was an Intelligence Officer, I briefed my commander General George S. Brown,
at 7th Air Force Headquarters in Saigon, Vietnam about UFOs near the DMZ.

General Brown states in a Department of Defense transcript of press his conference in Illinois, October 16, 1973.

"I don't know whether this story has ever been told or not. They weren't called UFOs. They were called enemy helicopters.
And they were only seen at night and they were only seen in certain places. They were seen up around the DMZ in the summer of '68.
And this resulted in quite a little battle. And in the course of this, an Australian destroyer took a hit and we never found any enemy,
we only found ourselves when this had all been sorted out.
And this caused some shooting there, and there was no enemy at all involved, but we always reacted. Always after dark.
The same thing happened up at Pleiku at the Highlands in '69.
"

Thanks to General George S. Brown, USAF Chief of Staff and later Chairman of the Joint Chiefs.

Omaha professor to give talk about UFO science

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — UFOs are coming to Omaha.

University of Nebraska professor emeritus Jack Kasher will give a public talk next week
about the science behind unidentified flying objects.

His lecture is part of the University of Nebraska Medical Center's Science Cafe series.
It's scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday at Slowdown.

Kasher is involved with the Mutual UFO Network, an international group that does scientific studies of UFOs,
and is the past president of Paranormal Claims Research.
He's also worked for NASA.

UFOs - the mystery deepens...

By Donald Wilson
Published:  10 June, 2010

MORE mysterious sightings of UFOs have been reported in the Highlands.

In recent months the Highland News Group has had numerous reports of unidentified flying objects being spotted in the night skies along the Moray Firth coast, over Inverness, and more recently Tain.

The latest sighting was in Lochaber at the weekend.

Smelter worker Stephen MacLeod, of Riverside Grove, in Lochyside, was walking his dog just after midnight on Saturday near his home when he saw two bright orange lights appear on open moorland and come to a halt about a kilometre away from him.

"They appeared to be a couple of thousand feet high below the clouds at a point between Hawco's garage in Caol and Riverside Grove.

"There was absolutely no wind. When they approached one was on the horizon in the direction Banavie Quarry some distance behind the other..

"They seemed to circle above the moorland in between where I live and the garage. They then ended up side by side and disappeared at speed in the direction of Inverness.

UFOs, Youngsters and Geezers

Extrait:

"In Ufology, there is a cycle that used to run about every five years, though it has expanded in recent times. New people enter into the study of UFOs, find these old cases and are excited by them and begin to push them. Eventually, they reach the same conclusions as we geezers, but only after a lot debate about the value of the cases and a lot of wasted time, effort and money.

So bring in the new blood but please don’t be surprised when I am unimpressed with their new methods and their new insights. They aren’t advancing the study at all. They are retreating into a past that we could warn them about, but they are too smart to listen to we geezers. We need to just get out of the way so they can follow the old, overgrown paths because they’re just too smart to listen. We need to get out of the way so they can waste their time doing what we’ve already done. They’re too smart to think we have anything more to contribute.

No enemy contact, but UFO? Maybe…

Although the war ended before U.S. Army Air Corps pilot Bob Schneck could fly combat missions, he trained hundreds of bombardiers who made their mark overseas.

And while the World War II years didn't provide much adventure for Schneck, the 1950s gave him as much excitement as he could handle — including a UFO encounter.

Former Ministry of Defence UFO expert Nick Pope says footage taken in Pasture Close, Bushey is 'very interesting'

4:30pm Friday 2nd July 2010
By Chris Hewett »

A former Ministry of Defence UFO investigator described unusual footage of a Bushey sighting as “very interesting”.

Nick Pope, who worked for the MoD between 1991 and 1994, is recognised as a leading authority on UFOs and continues to investigate and comment on unusual sightings.

After viewing the video taken in Pasture Close, Bushey, on Wednesday, Mr Pope said he could not be sure what the object was, but that it probably had a logical explanation.

He said: “We are getting more and more sightings of UFOs. I think this is partly down to science fiction movies and people becoming more open to the possibility we are not alone.

“When I was running the government UFO project we got about two or three hundred sightings a year. Now people have more access to technology to record what they see, we are getting more and more good footage of UFOs.”

Mr Pope said the object in the video, taken by Jackie Noise, was probably a Chinese lantern but could not rule out the possibility of extra-terrestrial life visiting Earth.

“There is a lot of strange stuff being seen. Is there life out there? Definitely. Is there life visiting us? I'm not so sure. It is possible and throughout my career I have seen evidence, but no proof.”

Bonsoir à tous,

Je ne suis sûrement pas sur le bon forum. Y-a t-il une rubrique "nouvelles" ?… Pas trouvé !…

Lt Commander (Ret) Recounts Seeing a Triangular Shaped Object While Serving on The USS Midway

To whom it may concern,

Where to begin...? I've told this story to many people over the years but this is the first time I've written it down.

I spent 30 years in the Navy and was in the aviation field. I enlisted and attained the rank of Chief Petty Officer (E-7) and a few years later became an officer retiring as a Lieutenant Commander (O-4). I worked on and was around many different types of aircraft over the years. I am now a civilian contractor still working around aircraft. I have a pretty keen eye on what flies and I'm not easily fooled or easily mistaken...
